Model F/RAPID GM 60 DS2

This revolutionary acoustic ceiling hanger, manufactured using the most advanced polymer material technology from the renowned German manufacturer KRAIBURG, has been designed with exceptional meticulously to provide an experience of tranquility and comfort in spaces where intense activity generates impact noise and vibrations that can be disruptive. In addition to its innovative design, the hanger incorporates a technological breakthrough in terms of safety through its new patented design, which includes a double locking device **DS2**. This mechanism not only significantly increases the mechanical safety of the system but also prevents any possible collapse of the metal framing. Once this mechanism secures the ceiling profile, it holds it firmly and constantly in place, thus guaranteeing a solid and reliable integration into any building. In fact, various tests have shown that this model of hanger can be between two and three times more effective compared to conventional or similar damping systems. Situations where the implementation of this damping technology is especially relevant include those venues where noise levels exceed 85 dBA both during the day and at night. Examples of such spaces are: bars, cafes, ice cream parlors, restaurants, and supermarkets. In these environments, daily interactions and ambient noise can generate discomfort not only for customers enjoying various activities and events but also for citizens in the vicinity of the premises. This context highlights the urgent need for effective noise control solutions, making this hanger a superior choice for those seeking to mitigate unwanted noise and, at the same time, maximize comfort in sound-saturated environments.

Laboratory: APPLUS (Tarragona, SPAIN)
Date: 7 and 8 July 2021
Sample: URSA+DANOSA+SENOR SUSPENDED ACOUSTIC CEILING
Standardised Base Floor: Reinforced concrete slab
Standardised Base Thickness and Weight: 14 cm and 350 kg/m²
Total Acoustic Ceiling Thickness: 13.25 cm + 14.90 cm
Sample Description: Suspended acoustic ceiling system comprising: SE-F-RAPID/GM47/DS dampers (SENOR) + SE-F-RAPID/GM47/DS channel intersection connector (profile-connecting piece) (SENOR) + SE-BEC-10×80 acoustic strip (SENOR) + TC-45/48 profiles (KNAUF) + SE-MONT-BICAPA-40 decoupling strip (SENOR) + URSA TERRA PLUS 32 rockwool + 12.5 mm Plasterboard (KNAUF) + 4 mm M.A.D.4 acoustic membrane (DANOSA) + 12.5 mm Plasterboard (KNAUF).

Note: The soundproofing results obtained in this test are also valid for the F/RAPID/GM 60 DS2 product, as both products share the same properties

TEST 1 (21/25271-1590 M1) – Single layer of plasterboard: An improvement of 18 dB in airborne sound compared to the base floor, which has a rating of 48 dB, resulting in a total soundproofing of 65 dB.

TEST 2 (21/25271-1591 M3) – Double layer of plasterboard + bituminous membrane between boards: An improvement of 22 dB in airborne sound compared to the base floor, which has a rating of 48 dB, resulting in a total soundproofing of 70 dB.
