The TAV-500/11 R is a special acoustic plug to decouple the metal frame wall system from the slab and original walls. Thanks to this, the self-supporting metallic structure used in acoustic partitions and cladding systems gets completely isolated. Therefore, this is an essential product for deactivating noise pollution by solid means.

Its ergonomic design channels and isolates the fixing elements (screws) from the rest of materials, thus avoiding sound leakage.

  • TAV-500/11 R: in upper U-channels.

Product registered in the Spanish Patents and Trademark Office

It avoids vibration transmission between building’s original walls and wall partition or wall lining system

It provides an excellent soundproofing

Together with acoustic rubber strip provides acoustic and thermal sealing to the partition wall or wall lining system.

Together with wall mounts elasticity is obtained using TAV-500/11 and wall mounts for studs

Test Report Nº: B2021-LACUS-IN-159 A
Purpose: Airborne Soundproofing Test
Standards: UNE-EN ISO 10140-1:2016 and 10140-2:2011
Laboratory: TECNALIA (Vitoria, SPAIN)
Date: 30 November 2021
Sample: CHOVA+SENOR SELF-SUPPORTING ACOUSTIC WALL LINING – EI120
Standardised Base Wall: 15 cm concrete block + plasterboards on both sides
Standardised Base Thickness and Weight: 17.5 cm and 300 kg/m²
Total Wall Lining Thickness: 20.2 cm
Sample Description: Self-supporting wall lining system comprising: SE-4800/TDM dampers (SENOR) + SE-TAV-500/11A and 11R acoustic plugs (SENOR) + SE-BEC-10×100 acoustic strip (SENOR) + 48 mm channels and studs (KNAUF) + SE-MONT-BICAPA-40 decoupling strip (SENOR) + 4 cm CHOVANAPA sound-absorbing material (CHOVA) + 25 mm Fireproof Plasterboard (KNAUF) + 4 mm VISCOLAM 65 acoustic membrane (CHOVA) + 25 mm Plasterboard (KNAUF)

Note: The soundproofing results obtained in this test are also valid for the TAV/500 11 R product, as both products share the same properties

Result: An improvement of 21 dB in airborne sound compared to the base wall, which has a rating of 48 dB, resulting in a total soundproofing of 70 dB.
