SE-BEC (EPDM Strip)
Our acoustic tapes or foam strips are self-adhesive membranes made of EPDM CR-130 Microcellular material (ethylene propylene diene rubber), an elastomer with excellent properties for isolating airborne and structural noise.

Additionally, this material demonstrates outstanding resistance to atmospheric agents, acids, and chemicals, while also featuring very low thermal conductivity.
SE-BEC (EPDM CR-130) foam Strip is used in the installation of plasterboard systems to prevent vibro-mechanical energy contamination to the rest of the building. It prevents the transmission of structural noise (impact noise) that may occur between different rooms of the building and enhances airborne noise insulation.
Installation Instructions:
In plasterboard systems, the EPDM foam strip is placed around the perimeter of cavity walls, ceilings, or acoustic partitions, that is, at all contact points, to provide airtightness to the system while respecting one of the key principles of soundproofing. To avoid rigid joints or acoustic bridges, it is crucial to ensure the tape is the correct width—this is the sum of the width of the structure and the width of the panels. The thickness of the tape used will depend on the composition of the system being installed.
Important Notes:
It is recommended to use SE-BEC in combination with acoustic mounts to achieve optimal results. For cavity walls and partitions, the use of TAV-500/11 or TMT-50 R is advised, avoiding direct screw fixings, which could otherwise penalise the improvement in soundproofing.
The thickness of the strip will depend on the height of the construction solution. A taller system will have more weight, and therefore, the tape thickness must be increased accordingly.
